This year’s headliner, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Ave, will take this celebration to the next level with a performance featuring brass band blare and deep-groove funk fused with bluesy beauty and hip-hop/pop swagger. Bandleader, singer, songwriter and horn-blower Troy Andrews will lead the charge with multitudes of sound, stellar playing and the idea that, even in the toughest of times, “Music brings unity.”

Local superstar line-up performing popular tunes in the genres of funk, hip-hop, soul and rock. Featuring:
Lee Yankie – Vocals/Guitar – guitarist and singer/songwriter from the Mobile area. His sound is a southern soul/funk thing heavily influenced by the blues and the sounds of New Orleans. He’s currently working on his second album and touring with The Honey Island Swamp Band from New Orleans.
Chris Spies – Keyboard – The Honey Island Swamp Band, Matador! Soul Sounds, Nerf the World, Kung-Fu Mama.
Brooks Hubbert – Guitar/Vocals – Colonel Bruce Hampton, Mike Dillon band, Nerf the World, Rollin’ in the Hay.

John Milham – Drums – released his first self-titled album in 2018 “Ardens Garden” featuring Jennifer Hartswick from the Trey Anastasio Band and many other noted musicians! Milham is also Creator and Director for Charlie Brown Jazz Christmas and tours/records with Nerf the World, Molly Thomas and The Rare Birds, Grayson Capps and Johnny Sansone, and was a founding member Kung-Fu Mama.
Phillip Baggins, Jr. – Drums – drummer for Yeah, Probably.
Ian Bowman – Saxophone – Naughty Professor, Bowman has collaborated/performed with countless musicians—from hip hop icon Chali 2na of Jurassic 5, to modern rock sensation The Revivalists, to New Orleans jazz legend Ellis Marsalis.
Harry Morter, Jr. – Trumpet – J & The Causeways. Harry has also toured the world with blues guitarist Samantha Fish, and has shared stages with members of Lettuce, Ghost Note, Galactic, The Soul Rebels, Marcus King Band, Forq, Snarky Puppy and many more.

These local second line experts will perform at the Renaissance Riverview Hotel Plaza Courtyard and then lead the second line parade to the main stage to kick-off the night’s amazing entertainment line-up. You won’t be able to stay still once you hear their lively sounds flowing through the streets!
